About Me

Hello! I am a licensed clinical psychologist (PSY#29550) specializing in working with children, adolescents, and young adults with medical conditions and health concerns including headache disorders, chronic pain, and functional neurological symptoms (FND/FNSD). I also work with young people experiencing anxiety, depression, OCD symptoms, and a range of other emotional concerns. I approach therapy as a team with my clients and their families, using a cognitive behavioral framework (CBT) to teach skills to manage symptoms and improve quality of life.

FAQ

  • 1. Consultation. Please contact me by email (info@alexandrarossphd.com), phone, or text (510-210-3693) to schedule a 10- to-15-minute phone consultation. During this conversation, we will discuss your/your family’s needs and if I will be a good fit for you.

    2. Questionnaires/Forms. Before your first session, I will send you intake forms via my secure online system. I will review this information in advance of our first appointment.

    3. Intake Assessment. Our first appointment(s) will be an intake assessment, scheduled as one 1-hour and 40-minute session or two 50-minute sessions. After the intake, I will share my recommendations so we can collaborate on treatment goals.

    4. Therapy. Therapy schedules can vary. Most clients choose to schedule weekly 50-minute therapy appointments to work actively toward treatment goals.

  • I provide in-person appointments out of my office in Berkeley, California and telehealth therapy throughout the state of California. Therapy may include individual, family, or caregiver sessions. I am also happy to consult with your/your child’s medical providers and school supports as a part of the therapy process.
